Complex Numbers (Russia)

Complex Numbers band from Vladivostok (Russia) was founded in 1996 by Frol Zapolsky and Victor Argonov. Initially, it was a techno-project, but in fact there are fans of different music genres - from classic to hard-rock and 8-bit game devices.

Echo No Echo (USA)

Echo No Echo is a four piece electro-rock pop group who draw heavily from influences spanning modern indie rock to 1980's synth pop. In the summer of 2006 Echo No Echo formed specifically to open up for Information Society at Portland's Crystal Ballroom. The response was outstanding and propelled the band forward with their new wave synth rock culminating with their summer 2008 debut release “Crystals”. Conjuring up sounds similar to New Order and Gary Numan, Echo No Echo presents the perfect mixture of keyboards, synths and your traditional guitar, drums and bass rock weapons.

Gunstar Music (São Paulo)

The project was created in 2006 and since that date it's been two EPs and two albums. From São Paulo, Gunstar Music has it's name coming out of a game named Gunstar Heroes. One track of that game was remixed in the first EP (Ancient Ruins). Gunstar Music makes a sound which is a mix of eurodance, electrorock, electro and trance.

Heart Shaped Hate (USA)

Heart Shaped Hate is a BFF Super Girl Duo made up of JENNA (ON DRUMS) AND NATALI (ON SYNTHESIZERS AND YELPS). It was born as a siamese-twinned, two-headed, eight-limbed creature and then divided into equal parts (except Jenna got more boobs). After the mitosic scapeling, they channeled their magical powers as a supreme girl monster into becoming the ultimate candy-trash doom machine.

Liberty Machine (São Paulo)

Since 9 years old Gustavo were playing piano and keyboard and started to learn more about electronic music. In 2010 he started a electronic music project, having influences of electro, breakbeat, trip hop and even rock music, Gustavo wants his music to be danceable with messages of positivity. His partner, Marcia, make the vocal parts in some of the songs and she is also responsible for lyrics, ideas and translations of portuguese to english. Liberty Machine means the freedom that can be get through the electronic music, this is the feeling Gustavo intends to cause.

Radio Over Moscow (New Zealand)

Radio Over Moscow is an independent ‘band’ based in Auckland, New Zealand. The debut album ‘Battletech’ was released on July 18, 2009, and the follow up, ‘Hide The Decline’, on April 23, 2010, and the third - ‘Deus Ex Robotica’ - is being released one song a fortnight throughout 2011. If nothing else, ROM sounds like a low-budget mix of Depeche Mode, Nirvana, New Order, Killers, Smashing Pumpkins, Beatles, Weezer, Human League, Manic Street Preachers, Primal Scream and Blur.

SV (Russia)

[sv] is the 23 years old guy from Russia who compose electronics songs. The artist highlight his industrial influences but is easy to find as well the influence of the alternative and electropunk music. The track Epic at this compilation shows one of the directions this project can drive itself.

Artist of musicmodules. Real name: Frans Bouma. "I’ve been in the demoscene since 1989, and on the Amiga I’ve been a member of groups like InfoCorner, Perseus, Zite, Megawatts, Dream4. On the PC I’m still a member of Infuse Project, after Perseus died." More modules have been released by Otis, but those are early releases from the beginning of his career.

Holy Cross - Vaterland (2011)

Holy Cross is a metal band from São Paulo, formed in 2001 by Emerson Olaf and Bruno Zubi. The band released a demo cd in 2002 with the name MEDIEVAL HEART with 3 tracks influenced by gothic and medieval ambience. After just a few concerts, the band stopped playing. Some songs in portuguese were made, but never recorded. Holy Cross became active again only in 2011, recording a new album named VATERLAND, a release that keeps the band inside of the medieval ambience but now with elements of epic, symphonic and neo-classical metal and still with some gothic touch. Vaterland has the guitar of 3 tracks played by Moisés Missão the vocal and guitarist of the band Templo de Fogo.

Floor Seven (ex-The limelight) is a band from Saint-Petersburg. The band were formed in early spring of 2007 with a name ‘The Limelight.’ In autumn of 2008 the group members decided to change their name to ‘Floor Seven.’ The singer Gleb Sparrow is known by his work at ‘The Limelight’ (Synthpop / IDM). The other members of Floor Seven Wladimir and Mikhail are known by their projects ‘Eonic’ (New Age, Ambient) and ‘N-616’ (Electro-Industrial). The sound of the group can be characterised as the mix of New Wave and Electro.

H.A.R.R.Y. and the Addict (São Paulo)

H.A.R.R.Y. and the Addict are Hansen and Ricardo Santos. Hansen comes from the band Harry and The Addicts, formed circa 1985, which was one of Brazil's first electronic acts and the first one to record a full album in the genre. Ricardo Santos is part of Downward Path, In Auroram and Von Richtofen and also act as colaborator in other projects.

Andy Livid is a one man home-made project, started in summer of 2003. I focus on dark, melancholic and melodic electronic music. He says: My style varies somewhere between 80´s darkwave/synthpop to EBM and futurepop. I’m some kind of die-hard tracker musician, because I still make all my stuff with a tracker software. Early works sounds a little bit more tracker-like than the latest ones, maybe because of the technical improvement. However the same atmosphere and mood has been remained throughout the years. My music is made with non-commercial purpose, primarily it’s for my own pleasure. But to my delight I’ve noticed there are some people who finds the same beauty of sadness in it.

Odd Year is David Gonzalez, an electronic music artist, programmer, remixer and producer. Other projects include, The Long Division and Drop and Solo.

Odd Year will feature guest vocalists, such as the first release (“Days Like This”), which features vocals from the very talented Loren Radis (aka Each Passing Day). You can Purchase “Days Like This”. Recently won the grand prize for my remix of Weezer’s track, “Love is the Answer“. The grand prize is to collaborate with lead singer/songwrite of Weezer, Rivers Cuomo.

CYBER10 Alternative Mixtape is the first compilation of CYBER10 covering genres as indie, alternative rock and pop and related sub-genres. Following the pattern of the other compilations, bands from many parts of the world joined CYBER10 to create this new project. Each of this artists below are worthy to be listened because same if some of them share the same genre, they got their musical particularities, I could find bands with influences of heavy/rock and some others with electro influences, what makes the sequence very interesting. This journey starts with December Days in a coldplay-like track and finishes with Matleena Sirén with her deep harmonies, enjoy!

Jakki Jelene is an angelic and captivating singer, songwriter, and musician who resides in San Diego, CA. Her first body work, “Acoustic Demos”, consisted of 12 original tracks set to haunting, acoustic music that showcased her beginnings as a solo artist. She then went on to collaborate with various independent artists on songs such as “Invisible”, “Crash & Burn”, and “Heaven Bound”. Tristâme (pronounced: Tristaam) is the moniker singer/songwriter Rami uses for his solo atmospheric rock/alternative rock project. After an online EP released in March EP, Tristâme’s debut album “Unraveling Horizons” was released in July 2009 - The album is a journey into the thoughts and emotions of a “passive explorer,” one who is carried through his life without ever truly living it, engaged in the world only through his dreams and unfulfilled aspirations.

The name Tristâme comes from the sad legend of Tristan of Cornwall and the French word for soul, “âme”. Tristâme in broken French could mean “Sad Soul”.

Kate and After is an indie pop band from Gothenburg, Sweden. The band consist of Magnus Lindquist (vocals), Jonas Karlsson (guitar), Carl Nelvig (organ), Kristoffer Sohtell (bass) and Joakim Axelsson (drums).Kate and After was founded in 2008. In November 2009, the first single, Snow Angel, was released. This release was a contribution to the project Unsigned Christmas, an initiative to bring forward Christmas music from unsigned artists on LastFM. On August 19th 2010, the band released a 3-track EP, ‘Things To Do’. These three songs are produced by Henryk Lipp who has also worked with and produced many well known Swedish bands and artists such as Millencolin, Håkan Hellström, and Thåström.

The guitarist and bassist Federico Sly were added to the group. In November 2000 they entered at Zenith Lucca Studios to record their first album, Gate Through The Past. The album was completed at Finnvox studios in early 2001.

Guerreiros Paulistas has a new release, this time expanding even more the creativity and range of styles of the project, this time with steampunk and sci-fi influeces, resulting in an industrial music style. "São Paulo National State" is a thematic album which takes place in an alternative future:

"When Brazil has collapsed due to a huge scandal of corruption what made regional movements increase their power in a way of separation of the country. Meanwhile, USA and Europe rises in a new political direction. Years before, when the crisis took over the world, nationalists movements in Europe and USA gained power, what granted to them two potential enemies: the islam world and the socialist third-world countries. When Brazil collapsed the whole world desired to know what was going to happen, if Brazil would succumb to the socialist neighbour-countries or would resist somehow. So USA and the New European Union supported Brazil in the creation of the ECB, the Estados Confederados do Brasil, an union of confederate states, each one in a democratic but strong nationalist policy. After some years, some states of the north-east, unhappy, started to support the socialist leaders in South America and now São Paulo see itself facing a new Constitutionalist War again, as in 1932."

The Beckoning is an avant-Garde/Goth-Metal band from Eastern Canada that fuses the groove and agression of extreme Metal with the majestic ambience of Gothic soundscapes. The band's sound is as unorthodox as it is authentic.

Fatal Exposure (Germany)

Fatal Exposure is a project from Germany which released two Depeche Mode covers "Here is the House" and "But Not Tonight" for Depeche Mode Cover Tributes. The style is mainly electro, with elements of futurepop and EBM. Ein Augenblick is the name of the EP including that two cover songs plus two more songs of his authorship.

Eternity Range (Sweden)

Eternity Range was formed in the year 2000 by Andreas Rimheden and Marie Hagelqvist from the industrial band Morticians, to provide a forum for the much more serious and soft music the couple had been making lately. They mix influences from harsh, cold industrial with synthpop to create a dark, emotional type of music. They have released two albums so far and a third is on the way.

The band started in 1999 in Palma de Mallorca. With the first finished songs they recorded a promo cd called “Prelude” in winter of 2000. It was their presentation letter, written with a Gothic-Doom style and with a very good acceptance in the underground press. 2009 means the recording of the second studio album “Forthcoming Displeasures”, recorded in March at Urban Studios in Palma (Spain), produced by Jens Bogren and Johan Ornborg, also producers of bands like KATATONIA, OPETH, DRACONIAN, PARADISE LOST, etc...taking an important step in the musical style, emphasizing a more intense and heavy sound, being more forceful, without a doubt it will be the Doomest work that HELEVORN has never done. The album artwork its being made by Robert Høyem (www.attheends.com), a Norwegian artist who knows perfectly how to transmit Helevorn’s new concept. The russian label BadMoodMan Music released the album on February 2010, getting excellent reviews until the present day.

Seduced by Suicide is Earth’s (also a Blood Tears’ member) gothic rock project formed in the end of 2004 under the influences of The Sisters of Mercy, HIM, David Bowie, Garbage, Type O Negative, Poisonblack, Marilyn Manson as well many other icons of dark/gothic music. During the second half of 2005, Seduced by Suicide worked in the production of Gothic Dream, the band’s first MCD, with five new songs, released in January/2006. Earth is now working in the process of writing new songs for Seduced by Suicide.

The Eternal Chapter was a traditional gothic rock band from Johannesburg in South Africa. It was a labour of love for three musicians who were inspired by the sounds of good old fashioned goth in the face of the EBM onslaught that engulfed the underground scene. The band started in 1996 when Jaco V and Michael T came together to to let off some steam. They were then joined by vocalist Thomas W in 1997. Over time, the band became more than just a hobby and produced a demo album and contributed to several international compilations. Live gigs came as did tours to Cape Town. Unfortunately the band never made it overseas despite several invitations. The Eternal Chapter played a live show on 5fm (one of South Africa’s national radio stations) at the request of the inimitable Barney Simon. The band broke up when Thomas went overseas to pursue his studies. A few years later Jaco V died tragically

Templo de Fogo was formed in 1998 (Brazil), when ex member of the band Sagrada Cruz decided to start a new project. The band had an evolution as similar to bands like Helloween, first having influences of heavy metal and hard rock then changing to a melodic power metal, always singing in portuguese (except for the album Judgment). Moisés Missão is the main member of the band, staying since 1998 as vocalist and guitarrist of Templo de Fogo.

This album gather the best songs of the band plus a new release named Sepulcro. All songs were remastered and some of them reworked and the album is also published on LastFM by CYBER10.

This is the second volume of the Elektro Sektor compilation of CYBER10 (also available on LastFM). This time the range of styles is wider, covering dark electro, industrial, futurepop, electronic, ebm and some other sub-genres that can be found in the track list. The electro/ebm band was actually formed in December 2008, but used to be a solo project since 2007, in Poland. The first album is titled "Disorder” and has been recorded at the first quarter of 2009. It includes remixes made by: Controlled Collapse, Fall from Disgital, Sin Team, Tom (reactor7x's logo designer) and also the track "Cold Army” with guest vocals by Gabriel Wolf from Infra Black. 2011 will bring much more.

"Streets of Rage, known in Japan as Bare Knuckle: Ikari no Tekken (ベア・ナックル怒りの鉄拳 lit. "Bare Knuckle: Furious Iron Fist"?), is a side-scrolling beat 'em up released by Sega in 1991 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. It is the first installment of the Streets of Rage series which was followed by Streets of Rage 2 and Streets of Rage 3. The game was also converted over to Sega's Game Gear, Sega CD and Master System. In 2007, the game was released for the Wii's Virtual Console in North America and Europe, and in 2009 it was released for the iPhone OS via the App Store." Wikipedia.

Well, the thing is that Streets of Rage is one of the best games ever and knowing that the people of Bombergames (www.bombergames.net) have been working since 2003 in an amazing version of this game. This version is just incredible, putting together the best elements of SOR, SOR2 & SOR3 and as well adding and increasing many things on the game. According to the bombergames website, SOR REMAKE:

"Is a homage to the whole Sega Megadrive/Genesis saga, a freeware game.
To remake the game the original sprites have been ripped adding new moves, new enemies and characters have been added respecting the game style.
The stages, some new and some completely redesigned, have new effects, more colors and scroll layers than their originals.

No, I'm not just reposting it here. What I'm posting here is a non-official version of SOR Remake. I have worked on the audio files, changing all songs and adding some ambience FX (despite of the fact that the SOR Soundtracks are always perfect). Info: Unsinn is a promising Polish dark electronic project. They had started experimenting with industrial and dark electronic sounds in the early 2010 and released their first songs shortly afterwards. The band quickly abandoned their original ambient/martial fascinations and currently their style is pure dark/harsh electro. The lyrics oscillate around love, hate, social alienation and dark side of religion. So far Unsinn has created remixes for groups like H.Exe, RSM and Stian Shiver. KRIEGSHUND

Info: Kriegshund is a solo project from Serbia created by Alex Kriegshund (28). After graduating law in 2006. few years afterwards Alex decided to show middle finger to the office, papers, suits and ties and to turn to his biggest passion in life - electronic music. This is my new project: Epic Church. It's not a band, at least until now, and the style is somehow Gothic, but with a lot of electronic elements, some people call it Futurepop. Aswell you will find a lot of romantic and medieval influences, and even some electronic versions of medieval songs. Mixing with that, there's a post-modern influence too, like Philip K. Dick or something like "Faith and Technology".The ambience is reverberated, the feeling of being in a gothic cathedral. I hope you enjoy it.
